Lend Your Skills for Charity

We understand the impact of community support and the need to empower one another with what we have available to us. That is why we launched the Lend Your SKills for charity Project in 2019.  In November 2019, we hosted the Lend your skills for charity project at Durumi Internally Displaced Home located in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.

On 22 November 2019, we called for donors/ volunteers who are willing to Lend their skills for Charity across our social handles with the message below:

Imagine giving a child a nice hair cut or weaving a girl’s hair as a gift for the festive season. Join us in putting a smile on the faces of these children.

The “Lend a Skill” event seeks to promote equality among children as well as provide them with the basic grooming to foster a positive self-image.

Our intention is to reach over 50 children at the orphanage homes and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp and make them have a festive season worth remembering.

We would be providing these children with

Clothing
Haircuts and hairdressing
Food packs
Toiletries
Toys
Let’s do this -Send us a DM let’s spark that smile on a child’s 👶🏾 face.

Amazingly, we had a large number of people who were interested in joining our cause and we appreciate everyone who came through.

We also received monetary donations and gift items for the IDP residents.

On the 21st of December, which was a festive season,  we all visited the IDP Camp in Durumi and it was an emotional moment for all of us. As we donated the gift items, our time and skills in the areas of hairdressing, haircutting, hygiene education and more, the team couldn’t be anything more than grateful.

Where ever you are in the world, spread love.

That’s all the world needs  ❤️.
